Tucan Terra
Nestled amongst 100-year old trees on a bluff overlooking the beach, Tucan Terra offers all one would expect from a tropical paradise – and the perfect getaway. Spread over 2 acres of jungle gardens, and 100 meter of beach front and warm pacific coast line, here you can enjoy peace and serenity like never before. Savor local coffees and brews while you watch the daily monkey and Scarlet Maca show, or stroll down jungle paths to the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean where the Gulfo Dulce unite. Whether you go animal sighting on wondrous jungle hikes, surfing world class waves, ocean kayaking, or just reading a book in hammock, Tucan Terra offers every form of relaxation imaginable.
The Rooms
Tucan Terra is a 2-story duplex house. Each Casita upstairs and downstairs feature 2 bedrooms with fans, fully equipped kitchens, hot water showers, open-air living areas with hammocks, keyed/combination safe for valuables, linens, laundry service, gas BBQ, house cleaning, free Wi-Fi, AC/DC inverter for charging cameras and computers.
Each Casita is fully self-sufficient and is powered by solar energy, fed by fresh potable spring water. All linens, utensils and cookware are included and supplied with housekeeping services.
Just outside the building is an additional bamboo garden shower surrounded with mature tropical plants and palms.
The upstairs Casita has 2 single beds and a queen size bed, draped with mosquito nets (but they are rarely needed). Slideshow to the right shows photos of the upstairs Casita.

The downstairs Casita has 2 single beds and a queen bed, all equipped with individual fans.
All the beds are draped with mosquito nets but are very rarely needed.
The downstairs Casita also has it’s fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with hot water shower.
The Garden
Tucan Terra’s natural rock outcroppings hosts dozens of Ctenosaur Iguanas , Basilisk (Jesus Christ ) Lizards , as well as numerous Lizards and Geckos . Dozens of fully-grown indigenous trees, including over 100 assorted palms, a 100-year old Panama tree and a 200-year of Ficus that tower over beautifully manicured, mature tropical gardens overflowing with hundreds of exotic plants. Dozens of banana and papaya trees, pineapple plants, and a green house vegetable and herb garden are there to enjoy when producing .

The Private Beach
Your own private beach – Sit right outside Tucan Terra and relax by our private beach overlooking the ocean and backwash bay. At low tide you can explore the best tide pools right out front of the house.
Tucan Terra’s beaches also offer incredible snorkeling, with an endless parade of parrot fish, lobsters, and dozens of other tropical reef fish. You can even head out on an ocean kayak (provided by us), and enjoy the scenic coastline from another perspective.
The beach is also great for surfing – just paddle out right outside the house and catch amazing waves !

We also have on site recreational equipment, including surf boards, ocean kayaks, beach shore fishing gear, snorkel equipment, horse shoes and bocce ball.
